Wild, Wild West

At the end of October every year on Antelope Island the cowboys and cowgirls are bringing bisons to the coral where animals will be checked for health. We call this event Roundup.

  2. Are these bison privately owned? It is a sobering though that they once roamed the plains in their millions.

    1. David, bisons on Antelope Island are owned by our state which takes a very good care of them. Annually bisons go to the coral for health check. Right now bisons are out of coral, healthy and free.

  3. The buffalo gives the charm to that world.
Unfortunately, there is no bison with wild genes, 100%, according to laboratory analyzes.
The beautiful fall shade in the photos. It induces the state of tranquility.

  5. Gauging by the number of riders, it appears to be a very popular get-together. I assume you, too, were on horseback ....

  6. Bonitas tomas, Kaya, buena definición, color y presentación, muy validas como fotogramas de una película del oeste. Buen trabajo.

    Saludos.
