American White Pelicans

There are hundreds of pelicans at the Bear river refuge in July.
They are on the shore close to each other and immature ones are very curious
exploring the river.

Immature pelicans are adventurous, they come close to you.

This time of year American white pelicans are staying
at Bear river in feeding flocks gorging on fish
to take back to their young and mates, waiting on Gunnison Island.

  1. Beautiful!

Kaya, I can't remember if you are in the USA. So, happy 4th of July! If you are American, you may be celebrating today. If not, a good 4th of July to you anyway....It's a good day for a good day! :-)
