Little Sparks of Happiness

Humming birds are already in our local park but this morning I saw only one feasting on Red Trumpet Vines and it was for a brief time. It seems that every summer there are less and less hummingbirds in our local park.  I wonder why?

On my way back to the car I saw flowers.  A little spark of happiness. Those sparks happen more often now.  One little spark, then another. I always try not to miss such moments, to keep them as long as possible.

Life goes on.

Hummingbirds - II.

Hummingbirds have long migrated. When I walk past their favorite Red Trumpet Vines, I feel sad. Summer is over.  But next spring these small birds with a nearly straight bill and short wings will return.  I will wait for them.

I believe that I photographed females Anna's Hummingbirds that morning but not sure.

Life goes on.

Hummingbirds

For the past month, I have been patiently waiting for the Hummingbirds to appear in our local park but they were nowhere.

Luckily, this morning I saw a few Hummingbirds feasting on their favorite flowers.

These birds are famously attracted to the red flowers for their nectar and visit our park during July and August to feast on their favorite Red Trumpet Vines.

I believe that I photographed females Anna's Hummingbirds this morning but not sure.

Generally, life is good!
