Immature Black-crowned Night Heron at Farmington Bay

At the beginning I didn't see the heron. He was almost invisible. The heron found the place where he could be safe and enjoy the warmth of the sun. This place became his favorite. In the mornings the heron sleeps there and in the nights he is active.

When I returned back to see how the heron was doing I noticed that he moved a little bit and looked different.

It's still cold in the mornings but later in the day it's getting warmer and feels like early spring.

  4. It seems that after a long time he has not slept. It has a perfect camouflage place.
