Male Red-winged Blackbirds Started to Sing

A few days ago I went to Farmington Bay to listen to the male Blackbirds' songs. At the end of February they start to sing displaying their territory. Female Blackbirds arrive much later in March.

Right now there are plenty of Blackbirds singing, displaying and chasing each other. When females will arrive they will carry different nesting materials in their bills.  After a long winter it's so refreshing to see the birds of spring and hear their songs.
