Pelicans are graceful birds but sometimes they act clumsy. Thus this guy took off with his muddy legs awkwardly hanging down and the wings like two big umbrellas were not much of help.
This is much better! Finally the Pelican straightened his legs and they are not muddy anymore, he spread his wings wonderfully.
Finally he is flying beautifully and low.
beautiful photo and the reeds in the water sticking up ...really gives it a cool texture look. I think he stands out even more with those ...love these photos.

Excelente serie. Tres bellas fotos en contraste con el azul de la agua. Las aves son así, unas veces patosas y otras elegantes.

Magnífica serie la del pelícano en pleno despegue. Cuando más me gustan los pelícanos es cuando, desde el aire, se lanzan en picado estilizando su figura para pescar.
