In last October I went to visit Garr Ranch on Antelope Island to check on two Great Horn Owls who live there but they weren't around, instead I met a few cheerful and noisy Song Sparrows. Apparently, these migratory birds stay on island during the breeding season.
Generally, life is good!

so pretty - I haven't seen any up here where I live but I use to down the mountain. I read that there was avalanche warnings in northern Utah and wondered how that went - was there ever a problem . I didn't follow up on the story.
