More on Pronghorn Antelopes

Pronghorn antelopes have a strong and beautiful pair of horns on top on their head. Males have more prominent horns like this one.

Pronghorns are great runners. They can run 65 miles per hour. Bisons only 40 miles per hour.

When Antelope Island was discovered by explorers they saw herds of Pronghorns and named the island after them.

Female Pronghorns.

Pronghorns eat grass, cacti and shrubs.

Pronghorns have very large eyes. They can see 320 degrees around.
