This little baby avocet decided to explore the world on his own and came out of tall grass but his adventure lasted only a few minutes. A parent gently pushed his baby back into the grass.
These are guardians of little babies. Some of them were flying over my head trying to chase me away, some just spread their wings wide showing how big and powerful they were.
I am going to make loud calls to scare you away.
No, you will not go beyond this point! Even don't think about it.
This morning at Bear river was exceptional. I was lucky enough to photograph a little chick and watched how protective avocets are of their babies and fearless.
Bird parents go to great lengths to protect their young, an admirable trait I am sure we would all agree.
ReplyDeletehow like the pickleweeds look giant !!!
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
There is a saying that all babies are beautiful, with which I will agree, Kaya, but in terms of this set of photographs I think the final four are the most artistically and technically well done .... sort of majestic in tone and substance ....
ReplyDeleteFram, I am not striving for artistic and technically excellent photographs in my bird photography.
DeleteSome bird photographers post polished and heavily edited photographs of birds. I hate doing that , I want my birds to be in natural surroundings that sometimes are messy. I explained it in my previous posts that people would not expect anything more. My blog is about wildlife and not about artistic photography.
Bravo, Kaya.
DeleteBirds relaxed, in a beautiful way.
ReplyDeletePhotos are pleasing to the eye, both through focus and tone.
Bonita serie. Los pollos siempre enredando y los padres defendiendolos ante enemigos tan poderosos.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
