Yesterday I went to Farmington Bay hoping to see Northern Harries. I believe I saw one but he was so far away that I even didn't try to photograph him.
Instead, I saw a Great Blue Heron who saved my trip to Farmington Bay.
The heron was on a little semi-island, standing and waiting when fish would come to him. Some herons often do this.
I saw American coots and ducks but they were far away. This mess in the water was close and I took a picture of it. Just for fun.
The same heron. A different spot. Hiding as if nobody will see him. Very clever.
