The Bald Eagle is not difficult to identify when you see its distinctive brown body and white head. It's a big bird. I didn't realize how big is the Bald Eagle until I saw it. It is also a very powerful prey bird.
During breeding season the male and female work together to build a nest of sticks, that is usually located at the top of tree. The nest is very heavy and big, up to 8 feet across.
Once paired the Bold Eagles remain with each other until one of them dies, then the surviving bird will find another mate.

These are great pics. I follow a webcam for some eagles up at Big Bear lake. One of them is named Jackie - ...they are so amazingly beautiful.

i didn't see where to comment on your latest eagle photos - they are gorgeous!! I've been following a webcam for our Big Bear Eagles and Jackie - the female just laid two eggs in her nest but burr...it's going to snow a lot up there tonight.
