American Bald Eagle

The Bald Eagle is not difficult to identify when you see its distinctive brown body and white head.  It's a big bird. I didn't realize how big is the Bald Eagle until I saw it. It is also a very powerful prey bird.

During breeding season the male and female work together to build a nest of sticks, that is usually located at the top of tree.  The nest is very heavy and big, up to 8 feet across.

Once paired the Bold Eagles remain with each other until one of them dies, then the surviving bird will find another mate.

  2. Big and beautiful and easily recognizable are excellent words to describe an eagle, Kaya. I think I might also add the word elegant to the description, and your photographs certainly do this one justice.
