Snowy Egret is Leaving the Marsh

Seeing a group of Snowy Egrets another day in the marsh looked like a great opportunity to photograph them all together but when I tried to do it I immediately realized that it wasn't an easy task. The birds were moving erratically, often keeping their bills in the water, the background was dark messy brown.

Eventually I ended up with a lot of odd messy photos that later I would delete.

Fortunately, the Egrets one by one started to leave the marsh.  First, a few left then two more decided not to stay anymore in this place and then the Egret I was able to capture (photo above) took flight flying low over the marsh.

  1. Hello Kaya,
Very great shot of this wonderful egret. Fantastic while he is flying. That's not easy, but you can do this so well.
Nice to see his feathers. Wonderful.

    Best regards,

  3. Oh what a beauty! This cute little Snowy Egret is totally awesome. Taking flight with its wings down makes them look like a beautiful white evening dress. He probably wouldn't like me saying that, but it's true. Your photo is amazing, I love, love, love it!

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday - Stay Safe!

  6. Feathers seem to advertise a fan. White helps a lot against this background.

  7. Preciosa captura.
