This question I was asked this morning by a birdwatcher who also was visiting the Bear River. "There were two adults Swans and young one by the road", he said .
My first thought was that it's impossible to see Tundra Swans at Bear river in August, they usually arrive at the end of February, stay for a while and head north to mate, breed and raise their young ones.
Somehow the Tundra Swans found the way to Bear River in August and probably stay there for a while. It's very hot right now, 100 F and I hope that they will be OK during the day. At night the temperature drops and early mornings are cool.
I wish this family of Swans well and hope that they will stay healthy and strong and live a long life.
