Let's Build a Nest

This couple started a family a little bit late but September will be still warm and the young ones grow fast.  Everything should be fine and they start migration in time.

The male Western Grebe found a silt.  That is a good material and very helpful for building a nest.

The male Grebe is trying to figure out where he will put his silt.

The female Grebe mostly worked with long sticks.  She knew exactly where to put them.

The plant also can be very helpful.  The male Grebe found it far away from nest.

The nest is getting more dense, more substantial.

During my last visit the nest was completely built and the female was incubating her eggs.  How many babies will she have?  Two, three or four?...
