They Are Vulnerable

For a long time I believed that bisons are untouchable. They are big, strong and can fight fearlessly.  I was wrong. The bisons can be easily a prey for wolves who often check the herds of bisons for old, weak and vulnerable and then single out their prey trying to get it to run in order to attack.

Luckily, we don't have on Antelope Island wolves and our bisons live peacefully there.

I am very fortunate to live close to the Antelope Island State Park that has a herd of American bisons and can observe and photograph them any day of the year.

Generally, life is good!
