Just Moments - I. Lessons from Parents

Last summer I was photographing the family of Western Grebes.  I was fortunate enough to trace this family from the moment when they built their nest and how the female was laying on the eggs and the male and female fed their little ones.

This family stayed at Bear River till it started to get cold, they were waiting when their little ones will be able to fly.  They were delayed with migration and I began to worry but eventually, Western Grebes left the Bear River at the end of October.

Here is another glance into the Western Grebes life.  It's time to get back to that unforgettable summer...

Mama needs sometimes time for herself.

The young one is waiting when he would be fed.

The moment of getting fish from a parent is very important because a slippery fish can be dropped accidentally into water if you are not careful.

Fish is big and father is watching carefully how the young one will be able to swallow it.

Going with mama for a swim is always fun.

Generally, life is good!

  4. Son pequeños y aún no saben nada de la vida y sus padres los atienden con esmero, advitiéndolos del peligro que pueden tener.

Son preciosos, esos detalles únicos de tus fotografías.
