Two weeks ago I got a comment from my friend who is a photographer and knows a lot about modern aircrafts. In his comment he wrote, "Birds are a great example of how humans learned to fly. Look at how similar the swan’s body is compared to modern aircraft."
Before this comment I never paid close attention to birds flight, their landing and how they took off but after my friend's comment I started to notice interesting details.
Before the landing the Pelican is reducing the speed, canceling lift and stretches his feet forward.
Upon touchdown the bird is raising the wings.
Pelican have landed but still keeps his wings up, just for a few seconds.
Generally, life is good!
Великолепные кадры!
ReplyDeleteThe climatic conditions, the state of the landing surface, the experience of each animal make this act always delicate, dangerous, a vital feat ...
ReplyDeleteBuena secuencia, de su vuelo. Ya conocía esa historia del inicio de la aviación. Hace ya algún tiempo que le he leído.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Estuviste hábil captando este aterrizaje tan bien conseguido, buen trabajo, Kaya.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Although it is massive, it is very elegant in movements.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting to see it in action . Love the photos.
ReplyDeleteLos humanos siempre aprendemos de la naturaleza. Muchos avances tecnológicos tienes su origen en la observación de la naturaleza. Muy serie de pelícano aterrizando en el agua.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo y cuidate.
