This photo was an experiment in tonality.
Once finished, I asked my friend for his feedback, and his verdict was simple: "close to beautiful but..."
He walked me through Lightroom’s Color Grading tool - never used it before - step by step, showing me how to introduce a subtle, almost imperceptible tone.

I’ve spent nearly a year trying to write about my friend J.M., repeatedly writing and deleting posts. Yet without his guidance, my photographic journey would have been little more than running in place. Most importantly, J.M. is not tired of my photos yet and still believes in me.
Generally, life is good.
Las dos son maravillosas, tal vez la segunda tiene unos tonos más puros, pero no sé...
ReplyDeleteMe gustan las dos versiones. Quizás en la segunda la iluminación es más uniforme, pero no me atrevería a decir que la segunda es mejor que la primera.

ReplyDeleteTu amigo JM tiene motivos para seguir confiando en ti. Las dos son excelentes. La segunda tiene unos tonos grises más puros pero la primera tiene tambien un bonito tono vintage muy interesante.

Tal vez hay un tono en la primera que la hace un tanto más cálida. Por lo demás tu versión es maravillosa y demuestra un criterio personal y un buen hacer
