This photograph is about strength and survival.
It's about how many obstacles this little tree has to overcome,
how many storms it will withstand.
Every year this tree will grow stronger and stronger
and remind those who will see it that home is neither here nor there.
Home is within us.
This is a wonderful photograph, Kaya -- the motion of the water and the stillness of the leaves strike a unique and a perfect balance.
ReplyDeleteI could list more aspects why I think this photograph is special, but instead I will turn my attention to your remark that, ".... home is neither here nor there. Home is within us." I believe you are correct with that statement and I think, perhaps, that is why I wander from one place to another and never experience harmony.
The tree is kissed by autumn and keeps the company water, without being beaten.

Simbólica esa rama otoñas, con sus hojas doradas, aferrándose a las piedras del arroyo para no ser arrastrada por las aguas torrenciales.
ReplyDeleteLa luz reflejándose sobre el agua es magnífica y la sensación de movimiento, acrecentada por la larga exposición, es muy fuerte.
