Each year at the begging of September through October hundreds of thousands of shore and waterfowl birds migrate through the Great Salt Lake wetlands heading south for their wintering grounds.
It's a breathtaking sight when thousands of ducks flying low, back and forth, up and down along the shore line.
American Avocets are still congregating on the shallow waters of the Great Salt Lake in large flocks. They try to feed themselves as much as they can before they start their migration.
As you can see on the photo above Avocets are in their winter plumage.
Generally, life is good!

Estamos en la época de la migraciones de las aves. Ante el frio invierno buscan lugares mas templado. Ojalá los humanos pudiéramos hacer lo mismo. Las fotografias espectaculares.
