Asking for food.
The soft morning light was on my side when I took these pictures of immature swallows. These little ones weren't pretty yet but soon they would be beautiful, more careful and less trusting.
Well, I have a difficult time identify these little ones. I checked a list of swallows at Bear river and only mature Cliff swallows were similar to my swallows.
Each one owns a piece of reed.

Each photograph shows a bird with an expression of determination. I think you are right about the light, Kaya; it helps to create clear and clean definitions of the feathers. Of the four photos, I prefer the second because it seems to display an aggressive stance.

such pretty photos. we have swallows every year that build nests under the eaves of the snack bar at the ballfield.
