Every Landing is Different - I.

That chilly morning I was watching hundreds of ducks at the Great Salt Lake and didn't know how to photograph them until I noticed that some ducks sometimes were heading toward the rocks and landing there.

According to my observation, I noticed that every duck had a different style of landing on water.  Thus, some ducks stretched their wings forward like this Northern Shoveler on the photo above.

The female Northern Shovelers were performing more smooth landing.

This male Northern Shoveler made a powerful landing with a lot of splashes keeping his wings like two big umbrellas over his head.

I like to watch how a duck is sliding on the water smoothly and always wonder how he/she does it?

Generally, life is good!
