I often see Meadowlarks perching along the long road that leads to Bear River. In the early mornings they are singing loudly from the poles, bushes, the ground or a rock perch.
The male Meadowlark above chose a wide pole for his performance, settled there comfortably and started to perform his wonderful solo. It's time to search for a mate, to breed, nest and raise their young.
What a lovely colouring this bird has.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photograph.
All the best Jan
The meadowlark has a beautiful song, Kaya, which I seldom hear in my present surroundings. I really / really / really miss hearing them.

Las alondras son aves muy bonitas. Disfrutar de su belleza y su canto es un privilegio. Y ahora que debe estar sacando sus mejores trinos debe ser una maravilla escucharlos.
