I used to see coyotes at Antelope Island but never had an opportunity to photograph them. To see a coyote walking in the marsh during sunrise at Bear River was something unexpected.
Walking in the marsh. At some point the coyote gave me a curious glance.
Still walking in the marsh, sniffing and exploring.
Almost out of marsh but still in the mud. His fur is so dense, so beautiful.
It's time to go into the desert.

Life is on hold. Empty. That is how I feel right now. I listened to the news, read threads on Twitter, everything is so bleak. I watched the videos coming out of Italy, people are singing and playing music on their balconies and the sounds floated through the city streets. Almost in instant our lives changed forever.
I will continue to post my photographs of birds and animals as long as I will be able. Maybe, someone out there will find them uplifting.

The blonde mammal and the lucky woman.

Hello Kaya,
ReplyDeleteWhat a very great pictures. So amazing how you've made these pictures of coyotes so well.
This is a dream for every wildlife photographer. You could be proud with these results.
Just like in other countries are in the Netrherlands many human at this moment are staying at home or are working home. The highways and trains are empty in the evening. I must do my job every day and drive cargotrains.
Best regards,
Marco
I think your coyote is a "Ms." and a beautiful young lady, at that, Kaya. No doubt they are leery of humankind, but still live among us. Your photographs are excellent and, based on her expressions, I think she feels comfortable posing for you.
ReplyDeleteDear Kaya, I am very happy and grateful I can appreciate your photos and write to you. Remember that you make me happy and I am very grateful for you. Fabulous pgotos, magical meeting. I wish you from bottom of my heart a very good health. Stay safe...You and your loved ones. <3 :)

ReplyDeleteSaludos.
I'm so glad you will continue posting them. I love your photos and this coyote is beautiful - the colors ..and i always find them uplifting. Yes the news is bleak but the more we can find joy in what we are doing the healthier we will be ...or so i like to think that.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo,
Que lindo olhar o do coiote.
